IAU’s 2026 Commencement Ceremony

IAU will be holding its 2026 Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, June 4, 2026. This will be a special occasion to celebrate your hard work and dedication, surrounded by the friends and family who have supported you throughout your journey.

Event Details:

• Date: Thursday, June 4, 2026
• Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Venue: THE EBELL OF Los Angeles, 4401 West 8th Street, Los Angeles, California 90005
• Parking: Free parking (about 100 spaces, first-come, first-served). The exact parking address will be emailed to graduates who RSVP about one week before the ceremony.

Eligibility Criteria for Student Participation:

• IAU Alumni (Past Graduates)
• Conditionally approved for graduation, with a Conditional Graduation Letter.
• On track to complete your program by Spring Session 1, 2027, and maintain a CGPA of 2.0 (for Certificate/Associate/Bachelor) or 3.0 (for Master/Doctor)

※Doctoral students must satisfy all academic degree requirements and clear all financial obligations to participate in the commencement ceremony. 

Invitation Letter

The U.S. Department of State does not require IAU to issue B1/B2 visa letters. However, you may submit a Self-Invitation Letter or send a Guest Invitation Letter to friends or family visiting you.

Note: 

• These are not letters issued by IAU, so the IAU logo and letterhead are not included.
• We recommend checking the visitor visa process on your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate website.

Gown

Students who RSVP will receive a full graduation gown set and an original IAU stole as gifts.
LA and OC students must pick up their gowns at their campus before the ceremony, while SD and overseas students will receive theirs at the venue on the day of the event.
Further pickup details will be shared closer to the ceremony.

Guests

Please invite and bring as many guests as you want. There is no fee for guests.

• Participation in the ceremony is optional, and the fee includes a gown, venue costs, gifts, and more.
• Keep an eye on your email for further updates about the commencement ceremony.
• Per IAU’s photo release policy, IAU may use photos taken during the event for marketing purposes.

1. Airport

For graduates/guests traveling from overseas, please use LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).
LAX is the main international gateway to Los Angeles and offers convenient access to the city.

Transportation from LAX to the Venue Area

• Uber/Lyft: The most convenient option. Follow the signs to the “Uber/Lyft” pickup area for rideshare services.
• Taxi: Available at designated taxi stands outside each terminal.
• Shuttle Vans: Several companies offer shared-ride shuttles to hotels across LA.
• FlyAway Bus: Take the FlyAway Bus from LAX to Union Station, then transfer to the Metro B or D Line to reach Koreatown.
